2019 Premier Postgame Semi Finals Edition

2019 Premier Postgame Semi-finals Edition #1 BSC Raiders (9-0-1)  - #6 Buffalo United SS (5-3-3)  BDSLRumors game of the week features two clubs with a history of meeting each other in the playoffs.  This season, in a week 2 matchup, both teams were missing key pieces.  BSC Raiders won 2-0. Our take: BUSS can be confident all day but the fact that BSC Raiders have not lost a regular season game this year puts them as the favorite.  We like their swagger but we don't see Raiders getting beaten.  It's impossible to pick against BSC, right?  Well they did lose against Celtic United in Tehel Cup.  But so did BUSS. Screw it, we are gonna rock the boat here at BDSL Premier Postgame and say BUSS sneaks by BSC Raiders in this one.  Lets go with 2-1 in regulation. OK so we were waaaaay off on this one.  We thought it would be a Sunday full of upsets but we really missed on this game.  BSC Raiders showed their superiority and dismantled BUSS 4-0. BUSS gave Raiders a lot

BDSL Premier Postgame Playoff Primer Pregame

2019 Premier Postgame Playoff Primer Pregame Quarterfinal Edition #3 Clarence (7-2-2)  - #6 Buffalo United SS (5-3-3)  BDSLRumors game of the week features two clubs who have battled twice already this season.  Both in a regular season fixture and a Tehel Cup match.  The two teams battled to a 5-5 draw on an amazing comeback with Clarence being down 5-0 at one point.  BUSS was able to get the momentum back in their favor with a 3-1 victory, knocking Clarence out of the tournament. Clarence surprised a number of people with a very stellar season.  They finished with 23 points with 27 goals for and 21 goals against.  Their much maligned home field of Clarence Town Hall was not a factor for them as they played their home games at 4 different locations throughout the season. Highlight: A 5-1 beat down of fellow 2019 Premier playoff team BSC International. Lowlight: The other BSC team known as the Raiders trounced them 6-1. Here is what Clarence had to say before their Qu

BDSL Premier Postgame Week 10

2019 Premier Postgame Week 10 BSC International (4-2-3) 0 - Amherst Sharpshooters (5-2-2) 0 BDSLRumors game of the week featured two teams who started off hot but have sizzled as of late.  Sharpshooters lost to both Lackawanna FCY and Queenston, while BSC Inter lost to Raiders and only managed a draw vs PUFC.  With both teams needing points to lock in playoff berths, a lot was on the line.  After 90 minutes neither team was able to find the net to finish nil nil.  The one point was enough to earn a spot in the playoffs for Amherst Sharpshooters though. We spoke with Amherst first: "We missed a few really good chances early in the game. We controlled most of the possession, but we didn’t generate enough good scoring chances. Inter defended well." Who was your best player? "Rouse and Loncar played well for us." Who stood out for Inter? "I thought Jenaro and their CBs played very well." This is the fourth game in a row you guys have

BDSL Premier Postgame Week 9

2019 Premier Postgame Week 9 BSC Raiders (6-0-1) 3 - Lackawanna FCY (6-0-1) 0 This match featured two of this year's Premier powerhouses going head to head in prime time.  This weeks BDSLRumors game of the week was marred by controversy in what seemed to be a great contest.  Ultimately, BSC Raiders showed why they have been at the top for a long time, shutting out a fiery Lackawanna FCY side. Lackawanna FCY gave us their take on the match: " Where should I start? I’ll start with the week leading up to this game. We knew everyone was looking forward to this matchup and so did we. I tried to prepare the team and to convince the guys to be available for this big game. Unfortunately the turnout for the preparation for this game did not go as planned. We know for a fact that the BSC Raiders will bring their best including the players from FC Buffalo. Starting the game short handed and our goalkeepers were not there was very disappointing. They took advantage and sc

2019 Premier Postgame Week 8 Lackwanna FCY (5-0-2) 4 - Amherst Sharpshooters (5-0-1) 0 This week's BDSLRumors game of the week featured two undefeated teams both near the top of the standings.  A win for either team would see them at first place with 3 weeks to go in the regular season.  These teams faced each other in Tehel Cup action a few weeks back, with Lackawanna moving on and Sharpshooters hoping for next year.   Lackawanna FCY were able to keep their hot streak going, dismantling a light Amherst Sharpshooters squad. Lackawanna: " This win was extra special due to the fact that this game was highly anticipated by everyone. I’m sure emotions were still running high after we defeated them 4 - 1 in the cup game two weeks ago short handed with our team only having 12 players. They came into that game , with at least 5 subs , confident they can beat us. The Sharpshooters are a very good team , we’ve been beaten by them many times , for us to defeat them i
